The Jharkhand Judicial Service Exam is conducted every year for the recruitment of Civil Judge Cadre in Jharkhand High Court Ranchi for the post of Civil Judge Junior Division. The Jharkhand Judiciary exam will be held in three successive stages, viz. Preliminary examination, Final examination and a Viva voce for the post of DJS Civil Judge. In order to apply for the Jharkhand Judiciary Exam, the candidates should be eligible in the following criteria:
Citizenship: The candidate should be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: Candidates should be below the age of 32 years and the above the age of 22 years.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have a Degree of Law from a reputed University. The candidate should also be enrolled as an advocate via the Advocates, Act, 1961 until the last date of submission of the application form.

As per the Jharkhand Judicial Service Preliminary Examination Pattern, the Jharkhand pre exam consists of an objective paper of 100 marks. This paper is of qualifying nature and the aspirant has to score above the cut off marks as released by the authority after the exam. The Jharkhand Judicial Service Preliminary Examination is of 2 hours.

Jharkhand Judiciary Mains Examination Syllabus: Jharkhand Judiciary | JHC | JH-PSC-J | JHPSC-J
The Jharkhand Judiciary Mains exam will have four papers of 100 marks each. Each paper will be held for a duration of three hours.
Paper – I
Procedural Law (The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 and The Code of Criminal Procedure,1973)
Paper – III
Hindi & English language test with Essay, writing, Translation & Paraphrasing.
Jharkhand Judiciary Viva Voce Full Details: Jharkhand Judiciary | JHC | JH-PSC-J | JHPSC-J
The viva-voce test will be held for 100 marks. The qualifying marks for General category students is 25% and for SC/ST/EBC & OBC category students is 20%. The final selection of the candidates will be done based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and the Interview rounds both.
