Application procedure: RBI Legal Officer 2021

Eligibility Criteria: RBI Legal Officer 2021

A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from any College/University//Institution, recognised by UGC and the Bar Council of India at least 50% marks (or equivalent) aggregate of all semesters/years.

A desirable qualification for RBI Legal Officer is a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 60% marks (or equivalent) aggregate of all semesters/years or Master’s Degree in Law; and proficiency in computer applications.

 

Experience: RBI Legal Officer 2021

At least two years experience as an:

Advocate/ Legal Consultant/ Legal Assistant/ Associate in an Advocates’ or Solicitors’ Office or Law firm after being enrolled with the Bar Council; or

As a Law Officer in the Legal Department of a large bank / financial institution / statutory corporation/company / State / Central Government; or

As a full-time teacher of law in a Law College / University.

Remarkable knowledge of Company Law, Banking Law, Labour Law and Constitutional Law and Experience in drafting pleadings and documents is desirable.

 

Age requirement: RBI Legal Officer 2021

For applying in the RBI Law officer recruitment, A candidate must be 21 years and must not have attained 32 years on the date mentioned in the notification. The upper age limit is relaxable by three years for candidates who possess an LL.M. degree and five years for candidates with a PhD in Law.

 

Exam pattern: RBI Legal Officer 2021

The RBI Legal Officer exam is conducted in three phases, paper 1, paper 2 and an interview.

Paper 1: General Knowledge of Law: RBI Legal Officer 2021

Paper 1 for RBI Law officer is 150 marks in total with time duration of 3 hours. 30 marks are for objective type questions and 120 marks are for descriptive type questions. The syllabus for Paper 1 is as follows:

  • Transfer of Property Act,1882

Paper 2: English: RBI Legal Officer 2021

Paper 2 for RBI Law officer is 100 marks in total with time duration of 3 hours. It is a descriptive type paper and the syllabus for Paper 2 is as follows:

  • Essay
  • Precis Writing
  • Comprehension and Business/Office Correspondence

 

Salary: RBI Legal Officer 2021

The average salary of RBI legal officer is ₹81,000/-monthly.
