The Patten of the Delhi Judiciary for Civil Judge comprises of both the MCQs and Descriptive based papers subsequently followed by a Personal Interview/Viva Voce.

  • Preliminary Exam for the Delhi Judiciary consists of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question carries one mark with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer and the total time duration is 2 hours. The Preliminary Exam comprises of 200 Marks.  
  • Mains Examination i.e., the descriptive paper for Delhi Judiciary for Civil Judge consists of the four papers which comprises of GK & Language (250 Marks), Civil Law – I (200 Marks), Civil Law – II (200 Marks) and Criminal Law (200 Marks).   • Aspirants interested in applying must be Indian citizens.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be an Advocate practicing in India, or otherwise is qualified to be an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961

Age Limit

  • Candidate must not be more than 32 years as on the declaration of the examination

Age Relaxation

  • Candidate belonging to the category of STs/ SCs, the maximum age limit is extended for 5 more years
  • Candidates who are Ex-Servicemen, who have at least military service of 5 years, the maximum age limit is extended for 5 more years

  • Separate results are announced for each phase conducted and after which a final merit list is prepared of the students who have qualified.
  • The final merit list of the candidates qualifying is prepared on the basis of the score obtained in the Main Examinations and the marks obtained in the Personal Interview/Viva Voce. However, the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not counted for the preparation of the final merit list and is only of qualifying nature.
  • The Cut-off marks are decided by the exam conducting authority to shortlist the qualifying candidates. Candidates clearing the cut-off are It is important for each of you to score above the cut off marks.
